ECCU 2008 ECONOMIC REVIEW

Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Sir K. Dwight Venner will present the 2008 Economic Review of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) on 29 January 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

The review will be broadcast simultaneously on radio and television in the eight member states of the ECCB. The Governor’s presentation will focus on the global financial crisis, its impact on the countries of the Currency Union, and the national and regional responses to the crisis.

Following the Governor’s review, a cross-section of persons from the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank member countries, linked through video-conferencing technology, will engage the Governor in discussions on the issues arising from the presentation.

The 2008 Economic Review of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union will be aired on VON Radio, WINN FM, KYSS FM, ZIZ Radio and ZIZ Television beginning at 8:00 pm.

Copies of the Governor’s speech and audio and video recordings of the broadcast will be available on the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s website from 29 January 2009.
