The St. Kitts Electricity Company Limited (SKELEC) has announced that it will commence inspection of switchgears around the island on Wednesday, January 25th. Consequently, a number of electricity supply outages have been scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, January 25, 2012
Period: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Areas that will be affected: South East Peninsula; Palm Bay

Period: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Areas that will be affected: Buckleys to Palmetto Point; Wilkin Street; The Gardens & McKnight

Thursday, January 26, 2012
Period: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Areas that will be affected: Palmetto Point to Fig Tree

Friday, January 27, 2012
Period: 9:00am to 4:00pm

Areas that will be affected: Canada Estate to Sir Gillies (Grant Egg Farm)

Saturday, January 28, 2012
Period: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Areas that will be affected: Frigate Bay

Sunday, January 29, 2012
Period: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Areas that will be affected: Bladens; Ponds; Port Zante (no ship in Port Zante on Sun 29)

Period: 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Areas that will be affected: Downtown Commercial Basseterre

Monday, January 30, 2012
Period: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Areas that will be affected: New Road & St. Peters

Period: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Areas that will be affected: Industrial Site & Bird Rock
