The Lions Club of Basseterre will hold a Ceremony to launch its Eyeglasses Collection Drive. The event will take place at the Wesley Methodist Church on Saturday, February 20th from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.

It will be held under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian, the Governor-General. A reception of light refreshments will follow. The dress code is elegantly casual.

The Lions Club of Basseterre has invited prominent residents of St. Kitts and Nevis who wear glasses. It is our hope that at this Ceremony they would present Lion President Mrs. Patricia Farrell-Heyliger with their old eyeglasses, if they still have them. In return for their kind donation, the Lion President will present them with a Lions-sponsored eyeglass collection box to put in their office.

The Lions Club of Basseterre will send all donated glasses to a Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centre in the United States. Needy people throughout the world who cannot afford to purchase glasses will benefit from these kind donations.

We look forward to partnering with you to give the gift of improved sight to needy recipients.
