Women Make the News 2008

UNESCO’s global action to promote gender equality in the media, “Women Make the News,” will be launched for the eighth year on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2008 (8 March), with the aim of encouraging news media to give editorial responsibility to women editors and journalists on that day.

March 17th and 24th – Girls Empowerment Sessions in high schools,  Women's health emphasis on Sunday Programme of Ministry of Health  

March 24th -  Panel Discussion on radio and tv on Lowering Family and Intimate Partner Violence to Facilitate a Kinder Gentler Society, 

Public Awareness via the media during the month.
