Devaughn Elliott and John BarnesThe players both from the Federation's U-20's squad, participated in the 3 day workshop St. Ktts during February when the Digicel Kick Start Clinics arrived in the Federation and proved themselves worthy of the chance to join the other six players from, Guyana, Haiti (2), Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname.

Both Kittitians are midfielders, joining a selected 7 midfielders and one forward in the squad of eight (8) who will spend one week at the prestigious Academy. Digicel Kick Start Clinics’ Head Coach, John Barnes explained the selection: “In the six weeks of travelling, we have seen an abundance of talent, dedication, togetherness and commitment.  It is important for all of the boys to know that the chosen eight players will represent every one of them.  They are Caribbean Football Ambassadors and my hope, and I know it is also the hope of Digicel and the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), is that their journey to the UK will open people’s eyes to the potential of the Caribbean as an untapped talent pool.”

The selected players leave for Sunderland on March 23 and as well as a programme of training under the guidance of the English Premier League’s coaches at Sunderland AFC’s Academy of Light and interaction with Sunderland's young players, they will watch the Sunderland game with West Ham in the Barclay’s English Premier League.
