CANTO based in Trinidad & Tobago will stage its 6th annual World Telecommunication and Information Society Day- Essay Competition under the theme: “Women and girls in ICT”. High school students from the ages of 15 to 18 are invited to write a 600 word essay exploring the current and future roles of women and girls in the ICT sector in their respective country and by extension the global community.
The competition will be staged throughout the Caribbean region among active member countries of CANTO. Entries received on or before May 3rd, 2012, will
be forwarded to a panel of experts in the field of telecommunications and education, to be judged on creativity, organization, mechanics and educational & technical merit.
