Faces are particularly powerful symbols of cultural and personal identity; so what’s in a face?
Preparing the Canvas
Well, for starters, the face is each person’s individual visual signature and that place where first impressions can be formed about us; so let’s face it, your face deserves the best care and treatment possible. Most importantly, the face is made of skin, which is a working organ that eliminates waste by constantly depositing perspiration, oil and dead cells on the outer surface.
Deep Cleansing Facials
A deep cleansing facial is important to every man or woman. Deep cleansing is the process that rejuvenates the face and should be done at least once a week. Deep cleansing is a five-step process used to exfoliate the dead skin build-up; it also removes hidden dirt, make-up and impurities that can cause breakouts.
Step 1
The face is cleansed using a hypoallergenic cleanser suitable for sensitive skin, or an oil free cleanser for oily skin. This removes make-up, dirt, oil or any build-up that may be on the face.
Step 2
The face is gently scrubbed to open the pores using a blackhead clearing scrub (if there are blackheads) or any other scrub with salicylic acid which rapidly kills spots and blackheads, unclogs pores and also removes dirt, oil and make-up.
Step 3
Next, the face is steamed to extract and melt away the build up of fat, dirt, oil and remaining make-up that may have seeped into the pores and which causes them to clog.
Step 4
A firming mask is placed on the face, which helps to close and tighten the pores, preventing the entrance of dirt, debris, etc. that might be in the atmosphere.
Step 5
Finally the mask is removed and the face is massaged with a moisturizer and is now ready for make up.
Now that you’ve deep cleansed your face deep, it’s ready for the next stage! Applying that make-up like a pro.
