TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN

13th Annual Music Festival 

In order to facilitate quick and safe travel to and from the Warner Park Stadium, and to maximize efficiency of parking operations for the thirteen 13th Annual Music Festival from 25h to 27th June 2009, the following traffic restrictions will be necessary.

1.0       ROAD CLOSURE

  • Lozack Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

 

2.0     TRAFFIC FLOW:

 

    • Traffic will flow northward towards the Moravian Church on Victoria Road.
    • Traffic will flow southwards only along East Park Range, between Taylor’s Range and the Basseterre High School. 

 

3.0       PARKING

The Basseterre High School grounds will be the official parking area for the General Public.  Security will be provided.

 

The General public will not be permitted to park on the following streets:

Losack Road

Victoria Road

East Park Range

 

·        Festival Committee members and sponsors will park in the parking area at Warner Park, in the vicinity of the Tennis Court as well as Carnival City.

·        Members of Cabinet only will be permitted to park on Hart Street.

·        The Governor General will park on Losack Road.

·        Other persons with VIP car passes will park at the BHS in the area of the auditorium.

 

3.1       Taxis Parking

The portion of Victoria Road between Losack Road and the Service station will be designated for taxis parking only

4.0       Vendors

The area of Losack Road between Victoria Road and Blue Belle Alley, will be designated for street vendors.

 

5.0      RESIDENTS OF Losack Road and Victoria Road

 5.1       Residents of Victoria Rd with vehicles will park on Nevis Street or Seaton Streets, while residents of Lozack Road will park on Hart Street. 

 

 5.2       The Traffic Department appeals to motorist to cooperate with the officers on duty and comply with the signs and directions given.
