ECCB Governor Reports on the Bank’s Performance for the 2010/2011 Financial Year and its Focus Going Forward

The recent address by The Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Sir K Dwight Venner in which he presented the ECCB’s 2010/2011 Annual Report can be accessed at the link below.
The presentation was broadcast on radio and television stations in the ECCB member countries on Wednesday 29 June.
During the presentation the Governor also outlined the policies and programmes, which the Bank, in collaboration with its member governments, has put in place to enhance the supervision and regulation of the commercial banks. In addition, the Governor reported on the measures that have been put in place to strengthen the regulatory framework governing the operations of the non-bank financial institutions which operate within the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union.
The presentation will also highlighted the Central Bank’s areas of focus as it seeks to assist its member governments with restructuring and strengthening their economies and responding more effectively to the impact of the global economic and financial crisis.
