The St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee has been invited to nominate candidates for the Annual International Olympic Committee (IOC) Women and Sport Awards.
Affiliated national associations are further invited to nominate an individual to receive the 2012 Trophy entitled “IOC Women and Sports Award”. The trophy will be awarded to one winner per continent and another, at world level, to a deserving person, at the 5th IOC World Conference on Women and Sport in Los Angeles on 16th February, 2012.
The candidate must portray a profound passion for sport and its development in our Federation in the following areas:
1. Participation of women and girls in physical and sport activities
2. Contribution to coaching of women and girls in physical and sports activities
3. Supporting of women in administrative and leadership sport structures
4. Promotion of women and sports in the media
A national winner shall be determined from the nominees submitted and that person would be presented for consideration at the Continental and International levels.
All nominations must reach the SKNOC’s Secretariat by Monday August 22nd, 2011, no later than 4:30 p.m. Please note that all nominations must be accompanied by a short Curriculum Vitae (CV) – a maximum of 400 words–of the nominee including certificates, photographs, press articles, video of activities, etc.
