A Brighter Day: UNDP and UNV restoration work at Ferdeans Children’s Home (18 July, Point Fortin). Staff of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Volunteers (UNVs) will be doing renovation and restoration work at the Home. Institute of International Relations (IIR) Library Backpack Drive and Exhibit: (15 to 31 July; 15 July to 9 August, UWI Campus, St. Augustine) The IIR Library is leading a drive to collect 67 backpacks to donate to parents and children needing support to buy supplies for the new school term. The drive continues until 31 July. Additional background on this activity is attached. The IIR Library is also hosting an exhibit on Nelson Mandela Day that runs from 15 July to 9 August.
