June was a very busy month here in St. Kitts-Nevis. Several festivals and activities were held, including The Green Valley Festival and of course, the 11th St. Kitts Music Festival, gets bigger and better each year.

This edition of KL reflects some of the recent activities, both local and regional, as we bring you highlights from the St. Kitts Music Festival and begin a debate on the role of the Caribbean Diaspora. St. Kitts-Nevis was selected to host the next Carifesta Games in 2008, and work has begun on the Federation’s newest sports facility, a track and field stadium at Bird Rock.In the political arena, the heads of the CARICOM states were in Washington to discuss trade agreements and closer links and relationships with the US. In the Caribbean Court of Justice, the fate of the Grenada Five was determined.
