OUTGOING HIGH COURT JUDGE PAYS COURTESY CALL ON PRIME MINISTER

Justice Francis Belle and Hon Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas

The outgoing resident High Court Judge, His Lordship Justice Francis Belle, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas at Government Headquarters today Tuesday, August 31, 2010.

During their brief meeting, both officials extended best wishes in future endeavours. Justice Belle served St. Kitts in the capacity of resident High Court Judge for five years, and has now been reassigned to St. Lucia by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Judicial and Legal Services Commission.

Justice Belle, who is a fellow of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute, became a High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in 2003, served in Grenada prior to his assignment to St. Kitts. While in the Federation, the High Court Judge served as a director on the Board of the Advancement of Children Foundation.
