Female Hawksbill Sea Turtle Rescued from Major’s Bay Salt Pond
St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network (SKSTMN) At 11:30am on Friday November 13th, 2009 the Sea Turtle Hotline received a call from concerned business owners Gary and Mary Pereira, reporting that a large sea turtle was caught in the salt pond adjacent to Major’s bay beach and was attempting to exit through the drainage pipe.

New Treaty of Basseterre to be Signed in St. Kitts in December
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (CUOPM) – The new Treaty of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) will be signed in the St. Kitts capital in December. This was disclosed Friday in Anguilla by Grenada’s Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas at the conclusion of the historic 50th meeting of the OECS Authority.
