The following is a statement from the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas of the acceptance by the Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis on the resignation of the Supervisor of Elections with effect from Friday, August 31st, 2012:

Mr. Leroy Benjamin on Thursday, 30th day of August, resigned from the post as Supervisor of Elections in the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis.His resignation was accepted by His Excellency the Governor-General, Sir Cuthbert Montraville Sebastian. Continue reading

Maximisation of Existing Resources: Key to Region’s Educational Strategy

Featured speaker at the opening ceremony for the 22nd OECS Ministers of Education Meeting Ms. Sarah Owen has commended the leadership of Regional Education for their achievements over the years.

Referring to the tendency to bemoan the perceived shortcomings of Education in the Region, Ms Owen stated her conviction that if significant headway is to be made in the future, a shift in focus must take place from the Region’s challenges to its successes, resources and opportunities.
